Since time immemorial, humanity has struggled against the darkness. The struggle continues.
At the same time, the darkness offers shelter—a space for contemplation and rest. In the darkness, we can perceive other forms of existence taking shape, hidden from view. The winter solstice is the time of year when the sun sits at its lowest point in the sky. How does it feel? What do we hear? What do we see in the darkness?
Centrum För Urbankonst(Centre for Urban Art) invites you to a contemporary ritual featuring fire, sound, light, film, and art.
On the open ground outside "Hangaren" in the Sofielund industrial area—amidst factories and weathered walls—we will light fires as the sun sets, at 3:37 PM.
