NGBG works for inclusive and sustainable city development
We help alternative and non-profit culture get access to resources
& engage more citizens in artistic and social leisure activities.
Is a transparent member-driven organization that fights for freedom of association and freedom of expression. All members have voting rights and equal access to our networks, resources, projects and archives. Everyone is welcome, all ages, all skill levels, we will learn and create together.
In addition to Sonic Citizens and this guide to the Cultural Sound Zone, we participate in European research projects such as Alterplaces and Listen, as well as in the legendary NGBG Gatufest that we founded together with the City of Malmö in 2016. When circumstances allow, we organize events, radio programs, exhibitions, awards, performances, talks and walks. Become a member, express yourself!
We work closely with other the associations, businesses, artists & academics of the Kulturljudzon in order to engage more Malmö residents in artistic and social use their free time.

Join us to showcase the creativity and diversity that make KLZ Malmö’s coolest neighbourhood! Let’s make some noise!

Last Tuesday of the month, at 4 pm we have an open house at Kopparbergsg. 8, come to a planning meeting, meet other Sonic citizens and visit Bill and Bull's free food store.

On June 6 we'll meet for our annual tour of the neighbourhood, the Kulturljudzon and Malmö South Central; on Sweden's national day, on bedazzled bicycles we celebrate with sustainable transport & boundless creativity. COMING SOON: Build your own dream bike at the bicycle workshop on Thursdays contact #jinga at Scene 12.
